talking to a colleague about Milosevic and how he had a horribly abusive childhood which led to some pathology and the inability to realize the import of his crimes against humanity. About how in one telling incident, he organized a specially blackened helicopter to fly him to some opening ceremony (because in Serb mythology from two thousand years ago, the gods descended from out of the sky in a black chariot). Then moved onto various leaders' divine mandates from heaven and the cult of personality that they actively fostered.
talked also about opening a film studio which more and more is my dream. I now only have to find financing, learn how to handle sound and lighting (i can operate DV fine and edit too), get some grips and oh yeah some actors too and a worthwhile script and then I'll be on my way. In the meantime, I might go to school though and stick to the day job.
am pushing paper at the moment during an unusual hiatus in Colombo. I want to get out in the field again.
