airplane sleep

I was flying in today, in the airplane, huddled up in a corner, sleeping, with my face smashed endearingly against the middle seat rest. And a hunky airline steward from Sri Lankan Airlines touched me on my arm, and looked into my sleep-drugged eyes, and spoke in the softest tone, and said "can I get you something to eat? A glass of water even? You haven't had anything the whole flight" and I sleepily smiled up at him and was about to respond, when I realized it wasn't a dream and he was real and I said no thanks and went back to sleep, comforted. I slept the sleep of the safe, even if it was only for five hours and it was sweet, and bitter, and never to be had again.
