Jesus Christ. I don't know what the fuck is wrong with this country and why they are so intent on ripping each other's brains out, for twenty fucking years and obviously there is no real peace process but neither is there any real intent or incentive on either side to create the conditions for peace. Finally the reason for war is war. A bomb blast on Wednesday in Trinco in which 16 were killed while shopping for the upcoming New Year, and 50 wounded. Followed by 'an ethnic cleansing' rampage by a Sinhalese mob (although the bomb was most likely set off by the Tigers) in which 7 Tamils were cut, chopped and killed. Police finally intervened the next day by declaring a curfew when Manmohan Singh was leaned upon to call the Sri Lankan president to ask for an intervention for the civilians. This is so FUCKING ROTTEN. This will also mean an end to all our work done so far as we were concentrating in Trinco. I am so tired of this. No matter what anyone does, it's just bloody holding a finger in a dyke.
